Beginning around 2215 UTC on 1 October, a sudden, dramatic spike in HTTP 503 responses was observed in the US-East-1 region. The incident lasted about 5 minutes before auto-resolving.

The platform team has identified an issue with the routing layer that directly contributed to the event. A global fix is planned for deployment on 2 October.
